Ristaba is a spacious 6 bedroom home consisting of 4 bedroom main house with 2 bedroom cottage, dual security systems, pool, hot tub, a/c in bedrooms, and views galore. Ristaba is in Chocolate Hole North, commanding views of 4 bays: from Hart Bay to the south, Chocolate Hole and Great Cruz Bay to the west all the way to Cruz Bay to the north. On our normally clear days, St. Croix and
Puerto Rico are also visible as well as many smaller islands.

 


Ristaba has one of the largest pools on St. John (28x13x12) with plenty of floats and toys. There is a large shaded area.....

.... as well as full sun decks, with a wet bar, blender, frig and glassware.

With the 4 bedroom main house and additional cottage, Ristaba can accommodate from 2 - 12 people with complete comfort. The Cottage and main house can be rented together or the main house alone. There are two phone lines offering
fax or voice mail and high speed, wireless DSL access.

Ristaba has a wonderful Caribbean flavor with it's hand-carved teak cabinets, vanities, plantation chairs,
and grand mahogany dining table, mosaic tile tables and sea-colored tile countertops.

Art from throughout the Caribbean enhances the design.

The upside down floor-plan provides the most spectacular views from the Great Room on the upper level,
and along the pool, while the bedrooms have lovely garden or pool views.

The Teak custom kitchen has all the major appliances (gas stove top with electric oven, full size Whirlpool frig with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker), all the glassware and dishware to feed large families, and many small touches which will make any chef feel at home. There is a Weber gas BBQ on the deck just outside the kitchen for easy access.


The Dining area provides a hand carved teak table that comfortably seats 12.

The living area has wonderful plantation chairs and love seats with a full entertainment center offering TV/DVD/VCR
and surround sound stereo. Games for the kids and books for all ages are there for your pleasure.



Outdoor dining or relaxing on the upper deck is easy and comfortable with sunsets all year long and huge views.
Plenty of space for all your guests to spread out.


From every corner of the home the extensive gardens will delight your eyes...
with hummingbirds flocking to the firecracker bush, the rich bougainvillea and many other tropical varieties.


The bedrooms contain wrought iron bedsteads and hand-made mahogany chests of drawers and accessories.
 The two master suites are poolside with King beds and baths and outdoor garden showers.
Each room has privacy curtains, and a safe as well as split unit a/c.



The two garden suites each with private bath can be made as a King or two twin beds (we have complete linens and bolsters for each) as well as have privacy curtains. The baths have indoor showers and a walkway from outside the bath around to the pool deck.


The hot tub is now located on the pool deck, tucked up to the gardens in a nicely private section away from the bedrooms.

A tiled path winds through the garden from the garden view bathrooms and from the upper and lower levels
of the cottage to the pool- providing easy access and privacy for the pool rooms.
The cottage can be rented with the main house only.

The cottage offers another very nice sized, fully equipped kitchen, living/dining great room and a half bath upstairs.
The living area has it's own cable TV/VCR and stereo. A separate phone line is also available.
The large deck with more great views await you and your morning coffee or afternoon drinks.

The cottage lower level has 2 air-conditioned bedrooms: one with Queen and
one with two Twin beds (which can make into King) as well as shared full bath.
In addition there is a washer and dryer.

Cottage views are enhanced by the lovely gardens surrounding the entire property.
